Matt 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Coronavirus made many believers turn to Psalm 91 which is the powerful word of God promising protection from pestilence. Truly God has the power to keep his elect in times of pestilence. For example in the bible, a plague claimed all the Egyptian firstborns but the pestilence never touched the Israelites at Goshen! But we all know our current reality. Despite positive confessions, many Christians are victims of cancer, Ebola, HIV and coronavirus. Is the word of God no longer true? No, Never. Is it that these victims don’t have sufficient faith?

Sure, at every given time, there would be unbelievers, strong believers and weak believers in the world. If it is only the strong believers that enjoy immunity from the deadly viruses, what happens to the rest of the world? Do you or does God care if they perish?

Jesus warned us that except those days should be shortened, no one will survive. Let’s say a strong believer escaped coronavirus, but his unbelieving employer died so he lost his job, the unbelieving bank owners perished and the financial industry collapsed, the unbelieving medical practitioners perished and the health sector perished. Tell me how will this strong believer survive? Currently the aviation, entertainment, hospitality and religious sectors are badly affected which will have negative impacts on the livelihoods of everyone in those industries, believers inclusive.

Jesus is right, unless God controls the epidemics so that everyone survives, not even the strong believer will survive. Praying for personal protection may be a necessary condition to escape Covid-19, but it is not a sufficient condition for survival. Until everyone is safe, no one is really safe.

The assured way by which believers would be saved from plagues is if the days of epidemics are shortened. Fortunately, Jesus promises that for the elects’ sake the days would be shortened. That is, God wants to keep you from evil and also use you to stop the evil. Praying for personal protection without striving for the termination of the virus and global safety is an under-utilization of God’s abundant grace.

David, the writer of Psa 91 was never contented with having personal safety when his nation was perishing. In 2 Sam 24, Israel experienced a pestilence in which 70,000 innocent men died in a day. The plague never came near David’s family, yet, David was restlessly praying for the solution that will save the whole nation. During his intercession, David had a revelation that put an end to the deaths (vs 17). Sometimes, godly people can die during a pestilence, but God is looking for intercessors, who by prayers will unveil hidden remedies so that innocent souls can be saved!

The contentment in the assurance of personal safety regardless of what happens to our generation is one reason solutions to global problems have not been emanating from many Christian folds. Moreover, because choose not to be the problem solvers, we become the helpless recipients of whatever intervention our enemy brings, including Bill Gates MicroChip Implants to fight coronavirus

That Jesus has promised that the evil days of pestilence would be shortened for the elects’ sake means if the elects can pray and commit themselves to research, God is willing to give the believers divine revelation that can solve these challenges. Let our discovery frustrates satanic agenda.

Le pray Lord, let the days of COVID-19 be terminated in Jesus name!

Matt 24:7-8 … and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Coronavirus is evidence that despite medical breakthroughs, nature is always some steps ahead of science. So there is no particular time that man can be so intelligent that he would no longer need his creator. Even in the most developed economies and among the richest folks, there will always be a time when things will get out of human control and all will seek God’s control.

Jesus particularly warned that the sign of his coming will include wars, famines, earthquakes, terrorism, deceits and pestilences. Our generation has seen these all: corrupt governments that refuse to make roads and hospitals causing countless preventable deaths as well as fake prophets feeding people with lies and ignorance thereby causing their destruction. Terrorism, tsunami, hurricane, cancer, HIV, Ebola and now Covid-19.

Suddenly, the rich are forced to cry. Steve Jobs, the rich CEO of Apple died of cancer, while great political figures such as the First lady of Spain and Canada tested positive of coronavirus. But will all these evils just fizzle away?

Unfortunately, Jesus said, “All these are the beginning of sorrows”. It means if Jesus tarries there may be no happier world, things may go worse . Sorrow is a spiritual force and its target is to destroy joy. Nobody is too rich or poor for sorrow, because in as much you have things that make you glad, sorrow is willing to make you cry.
There are scriptures promising protection from pestilences, but does that mean believers would all be insulated from end-time viruses? Jesus says “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive…” (Matt 24:22a). Thus, If the days of viruses are prolonged all will die! That includes the pastors and the choir leaders, the politicians and the businessmen. End time epidemics are no respecter of persons in their spread and destruction.

But that does not mean God wants to withdraw his control, mercy and love from us. Jesus says “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened ” (Matt 24:22). It means God won’t allow epidemics to wipe out his elects, but neither would he insulate them from viruses. Instead, God is going to quickly terminate the spread of evil viruses so that the casualties can be curtailed. Put differently, God does not promise exclusive protection for his elects during these woes, but for the sake of his elects, God is willing to make the evil stop for the whole world!

Beloved believer, when it comes to epidemics, God loves you as much as he loves the whole world but you are his priority and the reason God will save the whole world. Remember you are the salt of the world, meaning you are saved to be a solution and you are not useful except when you make impacts.

This is not the time for selfish prayers of personal protection, because unless the days are shortened no saint will survive. Rather, it is time for God’s elects to remind him they are still here and cry to him to make the plague stop! You will only be safe when there is a solution that will keep everyone safe!

We pray Lord, let the days of COVID-19 be terminated in Jesus name!

Receive the 3D Healing (5)

1 Jhn 3:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

I will interpret the above scripture as “I wish everything about you is perfect!” The psalmist painted such a perfect scenario in Psa 144 “… that there be no complaining in our streets. Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD” (vs 15). It means we can have all things perfect, good health, good job and happy family. But that is if God rules our lives. Having God is a spiritual experience that transforms the physical life into a glorious one.

When Jesus saw the man who had been sick for 38 years by the pool of Bethesda, “he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?” This is a question of compassion, so as to bring complete healing, body, soul and material. Doubtless, a man that has been paralyzed for such a long time is also sick financially and socially. The man confessed he no longer had friends, not one man. Jesus commanded his word of power and the man was immediately healed.

But Jesus also instructed the sick man “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee” (Jhn 5:14). In other words, the 38 years paralysis came because of sin which is a sickness of the soul and spirit. It also means the miracle Jesus performed was actually a liberation of that man’s spirit from the bondage caused by sin but which automatically translated to physical strength. No doubt his social and financial life also took a new turn after that. “Wilt thou be made whole?” is a question of soul deliverance so as to have freedom from the spiritual bondage that kept the physical life in pain, lack and shame.

Jesus came to the world in the flesh but the work of salvation is largely for the redemption of the soul and deliverance of the spirit. “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound” (Isa 61:1).

You’ll agree that Jesus preached to both the poor and the rich and there was no record that Jesus went to any prison yard to release the inmates. So it’s not about physical poverty or imprisonment. The spirit of Christ is largely a power to break the spiritual yoke of poverty, to destroy spiritual captivity and to release the oppressed from satanic imprisonment.
In the spiritual realm are chains, prisons, filthy garments, disappointments, pains and sorrows. Unfortunately, there are many people whose souls and spirits are in that realm, and as a result their physical lives including health, business, finances and marriage enjoyed no peace and freedom. In as much as Satan has his agents of wickedness around, there will be continuous imprisonment of souls. It was because some evil spiritual birds ate from the spiritual basket on the spiritual head of the chief baker that led to his physical killing by the king (Gen 40).

Notwithstanding your physical location and condition, it is your spiritual state that will determine your latter end. Don’t joke with those dreams of backwardness, death or failure. They are indications of spiritual imprisonment even and such dreams are potent to turn hope to hopelessness.

Don’t be content with your happy marriage and good job if you sense your soul is not free. Call on the Saviour for deliverance so that you may be whole.

Be made whole in Jesus name!

1 Jhn 3:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

Even though the above scripture reveals that God wants us to have prosperity in its three dimensions, yet the verse is not a rule but a prayer .
Knowing the will of God will deliver you from the power of ignorance, but enjoying the will of God requires your action, starting from praying to obeying the kingdom principles that will provoke God’s will to manifest. Remember Jesus taught us to pray “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt 6:10). The will of God will not automatically become a reality on earth if nobody prays for it to happen.

Every word of God is settled in heaven and there are abundant of God’s blessings in the spirit and in the heavenly places. Prayer is what transforms the spiritual blessings to physical blessings, prayer is necessary for good revelations to become great manifestations.

Giving your life to Christ gives you a brand new life (2Cor 5:17). But the trace of the old in your life does not mean the untruthfulness of God’s promise. It only means you need to pray so that the promise of newness can be fulfilled.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. Maybe the beloved is already lacking in one or more dimensions of prosperity. Some are highly spiritual and healthy but lack money. The answer is not to complain, if you don’t have all the 3D prosperity, take it to the Lord in prayer. “Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete” (Jhn 16:24).

But most importantly, the 3D prayer in 1jhn 3:2 is made by a great Apostle to the beloved. This signifies the power of a higher anointing to provoke divine blessings upon you. Sometimes you just need someone more anointed to pray for you to be healed spiritually and physically and to enjoy God’s complete blessing. “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him” (Jam 5:4).

To conclude this series, I want to pray for you in the name of Jesus that you shall be made whole. Everyone whose spirit and soul are under any yoke, I declare, be free in Jesus name. Lift up your head ye gates and everlasting doors that the King of glory may come in. From every spiritual prison holding you captive, I command your spirit to be released in the name of Jesus. By the blood of Jesus, I sanctify your body, spirit and soul from the stain of sin in Jesus name. Every ancestral and parental sins blocking your prosperity, they are purged away by the blood of Jesus. I break every curse and covenant attaching you to failure, sickness and poverty in the name of Jesus. I bind and cast out every demon attached to those curses in the name Jesus. You are free. Every spirit of infirmity that has made your life a habitation, I command, get out in the name of Jesus. Let your heaven open and let a time of refreshing come from the Lord. You are healed in your body, your marriage is healed, your finance is healed in Jesus name.

Be healed inside out in Jesus name.

Mal 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob.

Love is giving. How can anyone claim he loves me when he has what I lack and yet withholds? God is known to be great and mighty. But how do we convince anyone God loves when such a person is going through stuff and God tarries in delivering?

In the text above, God told the Israelites he loved them. They were very quick to answer God ‘How have you loved us?’ Put differently, they are saying ‘how can God says he loves us when our mountain problems are still standing? But God also gave his people a deep answer. “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob”. Let’s look at this answer

Esau and Jacob were twins. One would think growing up they should have the same opportunities. But Jacob became God’s chosen race. Jacob in his poorest condition is better than Esau in his best, because of God’s everlasting covenant with Israel. Despite Jacob’s many troubles, Esau would be happy and would do anything to be like Jacob. Yet Esau is Jacob’s big brother.

“Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” is a question for God’s people to realize his favours they enjoy are not as common as they think. Those things you are enjoying freely are other people’s prayer requests. If because you don’t have money today, you take for granted your ability to sleep, eat or breathe, go to the hospital. There, you will see people like in the mortuary. Are they not God’s creatures like you? The dead would be ready to pay any amount to come back to life and be like you. If being alive today is not by your riches or intelligence, then God truly loves you.

“Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? Is to call your attention to your area of advantages despite your challenges. Because you have not been able to pay children school fees, you feel God has forgotten you. Don’t you have friends who are still praying for husband and children?

Indeed, when you look at God from the perspective of your lacks, you will only see an unresponsive and slow God. If you are conscious that even the little you’ve got is by God’s grace and that without God things could have been worse, you will appreciate God’s love. God’s love is not reflected by whether or not we have unsatisfied desires. Instead, God’s love is shown by the number of unmerited benefits we have received. Whatever you are enjoying but which you did not get by your power are the evidence that God loves you.

“Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” God is saying compare yourself with your brothers and not with strangers. Don’t be sad because you read that Mr. A became a Governor at 35 years. Even if you graduated the same year, you don’t have the same foundation. Judging God’s love by measuring your success with the neighbour’s is like comparing peoples’ height without paying attention to the height of their shoes.

Your foundation is your ancestral roots and it influences your life experience. While wealth and political power are common in some lineage, poverty and oppression are common in some families. Some are born on the high throne and they are ruling nations. But some of us are from the ‘underground’. If despite our low beginning, we rose to be relevant in some local affairs, indeed God loves us and has rescued us. You may not be as rich as Dangote, but since you gave your life to Christ, haven’t you enjoyed grace that your unbelieving brethren never had? Be grateful!

May the Lord increase his grace in your life in Jesus name.
